GLOW is an organization that gives women all over the world a safe platform to speak out on women's equality. We want young women to get the leadership, mentorship,soft skills training needed to help their communities. Together we can become one voice that will change the world.

RIYA KATIAL

Founder

Riya is passionate about women's empowerment and has been a leading voice of this cause globally. Her white paper “Cycle of Women's Marginalization & Degradation” has been praised by academicians, business leaders, and women globally. Her organization has helped educate women in US, India and Sri Lanka.

Her professional experience includes working at Kellogg's, GE Aviation, Jespersen, and Sky7 Ventures. She is the President of Rotaract MSU, and helped as a student leader in the re-election campaign of Michigan State Supreme Court Justice Bridgett McCormack, Election of Judge Vandenberg, and Election of Washtenaw Commissioner, and Youth Rep of Rotary Ann Arbor West, a nominee for Washtenaw Young Citizen of the Year Award and a 20 under 20 Forbes. She was selected to be Student Speaker at the Pioneer High School Graduation. She is a two-time State Champion DECA, President of the Pioneer Forensics and Debate club, and State Champion Forensics Debate at Greenhills School. She was selected to be Student Speaker at the Pioneer High School Graduation.

She is studying BBA and IT at MSU and has consecutively been on the Dean's List for three years. She has an education from the London School of Economics and received her High School MBA from Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. She is also an author of a children’s book and a poem highlighting the need for education and other social reforms.
